Last Day of Vacation... Time to head home.

Day 4: Last stop, Bear World

On Friday we packed up, checked out of our cabin, loaded into the Jeep and headed home. We had one more stop on the agenda. BEAR WORLD! Apparently this is where some of the retirees from Yellowstone go to live out their golden years. We were happy they were there. It was so much fun. Yet another place we need to schedule more time for. Next year.

Its a baby, he's so cute!

Lounging by the pond.

The rare white elk. He's so awesome!

Mr. Buffalo

Grizzly bear. They had an electric fence around him and his friend. He was fantastic.

Black bear being curious.

Yes, that is the same road we were driving on. He's just chillin'.

So many bears just cruising around. It was so much fun.

This one was basking in the sunshine. We had to go around this one. There was no way he was going to move for us.

Getting that itch.

This one wanted to come with us.

Mr. Moose. This is the only one we saw the whole trip! What the heck?

Kiddos.

Driving home. Thank goodness for modern technology. Look at the pics in sequence. Its a riot!

All in all a great trip. We could have used one more day. We will plan better next year. A very much needed vacation. The first of many.

Vacation take day 3

Day 3: Yellowstone

Okay, so we have never been to Yellowstone, we only planned a half day for it. I know, I know... that was a mistake. We will have to plan more time for it next year, maybe camp a night there, do some fishing and such. But it was fun anyway.

These were the first animals we saw. He's so pretty.

His little family.

We had to stop and get the wiggles out and take a look at the Yellowstone map so we took a photo op. And yes, Cameron is taller than me...

A fallen tree with some cool roots.

"family tree"

Walking up to the geyser.

Bacteria, so gross and so fascinating.

Isn't this where the Yellowstone monster lives? We couldn't find it but it's so pretty.

Geyser.

Waiting for Ol' Faithful.

I have no pictures of Ol' Faithful, just a sideways video that won't load... sheesh. Sorry, it was pretty awesome and worth the hour we waited.

Walking on the fallen trees.

I have no words.

Well hello Mr. Buffalo

This must be his cousin.

Duckies!

Duck butts. Synchronized swimming at Yellowstone. They must practice this in the off season.

Night fishing after getting back to the cabin from Yellowstone.

It was so peaceful, the nighttime critters were out, there was a chill in the air, and Casey got paranoid when it got dark so we had to pack it up before catching any fish. Even though we had a lantern. What a stinker. She was the one that insisted on going fishing. Since we were leaving the next day we had to do some night fishing.

One tired sister.

Goodnight, it was a good day at Yellowstone and fishing.

Day 2

To help reduce the picture overload a little we'll do this is sections.

Day 2: Exploring
 Time to wake up...

Exploring the ATV trail by our cabin...

It's a bug on a leaf, a bug boat.

Hello there Mr. Butterfly.

The trail just keeps going.

Big Springs

Critter

Duckies! There were fishies too but they were under the bridge so you can't really see them in the pictures. Apparently there is usually thousands of fish here but we came too late in the year to see them. Maybe next year!

She talked him into reaching into the river to get her a sparkly rock that she accidently dropped back into the river from the bridge about 5 min later. So funny.

Well, hello there Mr.

Lower Mesa falls. Words cannot describe.

...

Best photo backdrop ever!

Stairs to and from the upper Mesa falls. There were soooo many stairs. Getting that close to the falls was more than worth it!

Upper Mesa falls. OMG!

A short video of the falls. I hope this works. So fantastic. Don't mind us, we didn't know we were being filmed.

Back at the cabin, cooling off in the river.

Doggies too.

This picture of Roxy freaking cracks me up. I don't know why.

So pretty.

Kaizer wading in the river.

I have no words.
